Subway Tiles

The infamous Subway tiles made their debut in the early 1900’s in the New York underground subway stations. Due to their glossy finish and simple, yet easily cleaned design, subway style tiles immediately became features within peoples homes, particularly kitchens, bathrooms and laundries in the late modernist era and continues to remain a classic tile feature in the modern day. Originally subway tiles had a strict measurement of 3×6 inches, although you can now opt for a variety of sizes to suit your needs. Subway like tiles are very heat resistant, as well as easy to clean and maintain making it a durable and classic option for a kitchen as a mess becomes very easy to clean up. They are also a perfect option for a bathroom or areas that draw lots of moisture, as due to their non-porous surface and water resistant nature you can rest assured that your bathroom will remain mold and moisture build-up free.
